What is collected

Applied Jiu-Jitsu collects information you provide when creating an account, joining the newsletter, buying a course, or submitting footage. This may include your name, email address, consent choices, technical question, externally hosted video link, course access, and payment references supplied by our payment provider.

Accounts and course progress

Authentication cookies keep members signed in. For signed-in members, the site records lessons started or completed, recent playback position, furthest position reached, and recent course activity. This information operates resume and progress features; it does not subscribe you to marketing.

Clip submissions and abuse prevention

Clip links and questions are visible only to the member who submitted them and Applied Jiu-Jitsu administrators. The site may record the submitting IP address and anti-spam result to enforce limits and protect the service. A submission is not publication. The permission choices confirmed with a submission govern whether selected footage may be analyzed, edited, or reposted.

Service providers

PostgreSQL and the VPS store site data. Vimeo hosts lesson video; Resend delivers account messages; Kit manages optional newsletter subscriptions; Cloudflare Turnstile performs anti-spam checks; and Stripe processes course payments when paid courses are offered. Payment card details are entered with Stripe and are not stored by Applied Jiu-Jitsu.

Retention and choices

Records are retained while needed to provide the service, protect accounts, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time. You may request access, correction, or deletion of account, course-progress, and submission information, subject to legal, fraud-prevention, and security requirements.
